I was at my previous school in Ho Chi Minh City from when it opened in 2011 and was fortunate enough to play an important role in its development and its success. I’m proud of what I achieved there as Head of Science and as a member of the Core Leadership Team, and I’m enjoying building on that experience here at NAS Dubai.
As a Teacher, I thrive on making Science as fun and accessible to as many pupils as possible by creating novel ways of presenting ideas and concepts, and relating learning to local and global issues and perspectives. Science is about discovery, and so I enjoy giving students the knowledge and tools to make discoveries for themselves wherever possible. I’ve run the Crest Science Award every year for the past four years and it has been very rewarding seeing students gain recognition from the British Science Association for their project work.
Outside of school I am a keen cyclist and have recently completed my first 100 mile (160km) ride. I also enjoy swimming, watching films, natural history and spending time with my family. My 5 year old daughter, Amelia, is enjoying her time at NAS and is also a big fan of Dubai.
