Originally from Newcastle upon Tyne, I moved to Sheffield in 2009 to study Civil Engineering at Sheffield University. After I graduated, I then moved down to Ely, Cambridgeshire, where I developed my passion for teaching during a year long stint as a ‘live-in’ Graduate Assistant at a boarding school. Following this I went back to Sheffield University to study a Physics with Maths PGDE. I followed this with a Masters in Applied Professional Studies in Education which I completed in 2016.
I moved to Manchester in 2014 with my husband, to start my teaching career. Manchester is such a big, diverse city and while I enjoyed it there, I’ve always wanted to work abroad and experience something new, so joining NAS Dubai in 2016 was another big adventure I couldn’t say no to. I have a passion for Physics and hope to pass that on to the students I have the pleasure of teaching.
In my spare time I enjoy crafts, baking and outdoor activities, but I’m a netballer through and through, so spend most of my free evenings on court with my team.
