I have always had a passion for teaching and have extensive experience working in schools teaching students of different abilities and levels; offering both the mother tongue programme linked to the French National Curriculum to also teaching French as a foreign language.
I believe that every child is unique and has a different set of skills, knowledge and ability and it is important that I, as their teacher, adapt my teaching to suit their needs and experiences to ensure that they progress in French and continue to love learning the language. I always encourage my students to reflect on what they have been learning, and articulate how they can progress further. It is important to keep students active and engaged in class to maintain their interest in the language. I also ensure that their learning takes place in a comfortable, relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
At my children’s French school, I am also a class parent representative, a role which I have relished for the past three years, where I represent the views of parents related to the education and pastoral concerns to bring about change where necessary.
Outside of teaching, I love spending time with my family and friends. I also love walking, cooking, gardening and listening to music and of course returning to Paris on holidays!
Being part of NAS Dubai since August has been truly wonderful and it has been an absolute delight teaching the children French.
