French & Spanish

Born and raised in Sheffield, England, I studied at the University of Sheffield where I completed a BA Honours degree in Hispanic Studies, a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDipEd) and a Master’s degree in Education. I know that from a young age, the Spanish language has always been my passion.

During my time at university, I worked as an English Modern Foreign Language Assistant in a primary school in Alicante, Spain for a year and worked a couple of summers as a nanny for a family in Spain. These opportunities allowed me to fully immerse myself into the Spanish language and way of life and working with children in Spain was what encouraged me to complete my teaching degree in the UK on my return. During my four years of teaching, I have had the privilege of working at two Secondary Comprehensive schools in the north of England, both as a Teacher of Foreign Languages and a Head of Languages.

My passion for foreign languages and cultures, together with my passion of fostering a love of different languages and cultures within my students is why I love my job in teaching. I thoroughly enjoyed my international teaching experience in Spain and I am delighted to be returning to international teaching in Dubai.

During my spare time I enjoy reading, going to the beach, travelling and exploring different languages, cultures and customs.

I am extremely excited to be starting my new adventure in Dubai this summer and extremely grateful for having this brilliant opportunity to work as part of the Nord Anglia family!
