I have ten years teaching experience and during my career I taught in an outstanding school in Bolton for eight years and moved to Dubai two years ago where I have been teaching primary and secondary languages ever since. During my career I have gained invaluable experience of teaching languages across a large range of age groups, running and managing successful MFL Departments and I have also gained experience in the pastoral domain as Head of Year 7 and Year 8.
I have taught both French and Spanish across all the Key Stages from KS2-KS5, delivering FCSE, GCSE, IGCSE, A-level and IB courses. I have taught many pupils with a range of abilities, diverse backgrounds and different nationalities. During my career I have gained a wealth of knowledge of how to engage pupils in learning languages and have tried and tested strategies that assist and allow language learners to reach their true potential and access the highest possible grades.
I am a keen linguist and my aim is to promote the love of languages and spontaneous use of languages in and around school. I love to travel to both France and Spain as frequently as possible and I am currently learning Italian in my free time. I am a very active person, I frequently attend a gym and I am a keen cycler and runner. This year I completed my first half marathon in Dubai and I regularly take part in organised 10K runs, it is my ambition to complete the London or New York marathon.
I feel extremely excited about being a member of the NAS Dubai family and making a positive contribution to what is already a highly regarded and thriving community.
