I earned a bachelor’s in Applied Sciences and a master’s in Health Sciences, prior to specializing in the performance management of cancer services. My journey into the classroom took me by surprise! I volunteered at my children’s school in England and enjoyed this experience far more than I had expected. We unexpectedly moved to Houston in 2012 and I put my teacher training on hold. I initially worked as a Learning Support Assistant and then trained as a Primary teacher here at BISH. This is my fifth year teaching at BISH.
I have a loving husband and two wonderful children who take up a lot of my time being chaperoned to basketball practice and tournaments. I dabble in interior design and usually have a DIY project on the go or insight. We love to travel and explore new places and cuisines.
What the students say about me:
I’ve lost count of the number of times I have received the compliment “You’re so funny Mrs Sharma!” I truly want the children to enjoy learning, so that they can celebrate their own accomplishments and make it their lifelong mission to continue learning.
This School is different to all others I have worked at because…
There is nothing more refreshing than meeting people from the different corners of the world. The diversity of the school makes it such a unique learning environment for both students and teachers.
