I began my career in international education working abroad in a college counselling department in Beijing, China. From there I moved to Houston, Texas, where I joined the admissions office at the British International School of Houston. In addition to my experience in K-12 education I have also worked at non-profits with a focus on outreach, event planning and donor relations.
Most recently, I supported Houston area low-income families with access to stable and safe housing as the Outreach and Community Education Manager at a non-profit. The British International School of Kuala Lumpur is the third international school I have worked at and my second time living abroad.
Outside of work, I most enjoy hiking, searching for a new favourite recipe and arguing with my Welsh husband about whether American English or British English is more correct.
Student happiness in admissions is about helping families find the right fit for their children. Within admissions, our job is to open the doors of the school to prospective families . By sharing our knowledge of BSKL, we can support students and their families in making the most informed school choice.
