Before coming to BSKL, I spent 9 months teaching IGCSE English for Grade 7 in another international school as part of my internship. There, I was also an active member of the English department brainstorming and planning lessons for Grade 7, 8 and 9.
During my spare time, I enjoy working out in the gym, singing as well as drawing digitally. I'm incredibly fond of pop, R&B and cinematic scores. One of my favourite quotes is "Hard work will never betray you". As an educator, I believe that every child has what it takes to go far in life as long as they put in the work. Through education, I wish to communicate to my students that a strong work ethic can be as powerful or even more so than natural talent.
Student happiness is about believing in students’ abilities, empowering them through quality education as well as encouraging them in their personal growth. A school should be an environment where students are given every chance to succeed, take risks, improve as well as make mistakes without being shamed for it. In my role here at BSKL, it’s my personal mission to ensure that my students feel secure, heard, as well as supported in their learning experience.
