Assistant Teacher

I taught English as a Second Language, mainly at the primary level, for the Cambridge English Language Assessments under their Young Learner's programme for 5 years. I also taught music theory and the piano up to grade 8 (ABRSM) for 2 years, as well as summer drama programmes and English bootcamps.

I was born in Malaysia, resulting in a great love for all kinds of foods. Raised by a teacher, I spent a lot of time with my mother's circle of educators, so naturally I enjoyed tutoring in secondary school. From there it was a logical segue into the education line after graduation. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy reading books, but I also dabble in playing the piano, crocheting, linguistics, and attempting handstands.

To me, student happiness means that students feel their school is one of their safe spaces to learn, explore, and question things. They are able to stretch themselves to achieve academic and sports goals, pursue their interests, and learn to overcome obstacles. BSKL encourages a well-rounded approach that helps bolster students' confidence to achieve what they need to do.
