I studied my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and continued to finish my BA (Hons) in Early Years Education accredited by the University of Greenwich. At the same time, I started my career as an Early Years Educator, teaching in an accomplished private kindergarten here in Malaysia. As a homeroom teacher, I experienced teaching in a Montessori and Thematic setting; preparing the environment and lessons for students in Nursery and Reception. After 6 years of teaching children from the ages of 3 to 6, I then decided to move on to an international setting and joined my colleagues here in BSKL.
In my teenage years, I was part of the KL Children's Choir. We performed musicals in theatres and performed with the Philharmonic Orchestra in KLCC. Having that experience gave me the confidence, creativity and zest I have today. I've always shown interest in the performing arts since a young age, including the art of dance. I dance a variety of genres, from classical/traditional genres to modern dance styles. My experiences encouraged me to combine my passion for the arts and desire to teach. Through my contributions to the extra-curricular activities in BSKL, I aspire to inspire children to explore their creativity and build their self-esteem. My favourite sports include netball, badminton and diving. You can also find me enjoying my time in nature such as waterfalls, jungles and beaches.
