I started my journey in education line first with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. During my Diploma at College, I did my 3 months practical in an Early Years Centre and work with the age group of 4 to 6. I worked as Assistant teacher and Class Teacher. I was given the chance to teach special needs children from the ages of 4 to 5. After completing my Diploma, I worked in a kindergarten as both Assistant and Class Teacher from the ages of 2 to 6. Then, I proceeded with my (BA) in Early Childhood Studies at University of Gloucestershire, Cheltenham, United Kingdom. I had a golden opportunity to work in both Early Years Centre, Nursery and Preschool with the ages of 18months to 6. This has extended a greater understanding of how early years settings and safeguarding works in England. My prior experience working as an assistant and class teacher has help me to have an advanced understanding of children’s development and evolved my professional development as well.
I’m extremely fond of reading and it might just be any materials such as storybook, novel, biography, newspaper etc. I believe it’s a good source of knowledge, inspiration and enjoyment. Besides, I am passionate about Arts and Craft as it has the power to discover ourselves and to develop our interpretive skills. I also love singing songs even during my school and college days . My dad has become a great influence to start of my singing skills till now. Becoming a Teacher in education line, was a huge inspiration from my mum who is a Primary Teacher and my grand mum who was a Principal. Their ability to guide students and produce a great impact to their lives, their fairness, as a mentor, as a leader and their incredible hard work to create a good community made me aspire to bring these things to my school. My favourite life quote will be “Please go for your dreams. Whatever your ideals, you can become whatever you want to become ” by Michael Jackson. I abide by this quote ever since I was a child. It has a strong message within as it gives a sense of hope, self-confidence and has also been part of my life for what I’ve become today.
Student’s happiness is about giving them the freedom to pursue their interest and skills. I believe that a school should reinforce and guide students to evolve their skills as this raises up self-confidence to go after their passion and give sense of belonging. BSKL is the kind of school that provides importance to every child to express their own uniqueness, besides their outstanding academic programmes.
