Ms Emily Clark

Ms Emily Clark

Head of Reception

Ms Emily Clark has a Master of Education degree in education in Early Childhood Education and taught Early Years and Year 1 for the past four years in Amman, Jordan. Previously, she also taught Kindergarten in the United States for four years where she developed her passion and purpose as an Early Years educator. She loves spending time with her family by exploring nature and going hiking. She also loves to read and enjoys baking.

I am joining the BSKL community from Amman, Jordan where I have taught Early Years and Year 1 for the past four years. In Amman, I led the development of the Early Years provision and the continuation of child led learning into Key Stage 1 as a member of the Primary Senior Leadership Team. I am enthusiastic about bringing my leadership experience to BSKL as Head of Reception. Before moving abroad, I taught Kindergarten in the United States for four years and also worked with families as a Family Support Specialist for Early Head Start; it is here where I was able to develop my passion and purpose as an Early Years educator.

Outside of teaching, I love to spend time with my family. My husband and our two children are thrilled to be joining such a warm community. We love to explore nature and hike together on weekends; we love to travel and are looking forward to exploring a new country! I love to read and I am also an avid baker.

I believe that teaching and learning should be a joyful experience and I love the sound of a classroom full of purpose, play, and laughter. Put simply, happy children are learning children!
