Ms Sarah Poyser studied at York St John University where she gained a first class degree in Primary Education. As part of her course, she was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to go to Austria to teach English. This experience, alongside her travels around other parts of the world, ignited her passion to teach abroad. During the last few years prior to joining BSKL, she has taught both Key Stage 1and 2 children in a large primary school in South Manchester. Throughout her time there, she had been Art and Design lead, coordinated the school’s Learning Council and taken responsibility for organising end of year productions. She strongly believe that Creative Arts is an important aspect of developing children’s confidence and creativity.
Over the last few years I have taught both Key Stage One and Two children in a large primary school in South Manchester. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, baking, going to the theatre and keeping active at the gym. I love to travel and discover new places and I am excited to experience more of Asia.
For me, student happiness is created when classrooms contain a culture of respect and support, where pupils are encouraged to value one another and celebrate each other’s successes. I am passionate about helping children to progress by providing challenging and inspiring learning experiences in a positive and nurturing environment. It gives me great pleasure to see the children shine and start to realise their potential.
