After graduating from University, Jennifer moved to South East Asia where she worked as a PADI dive instructor for 8 years. By 2016, she was already aware of her passion for teaching children and enrolled herself on a TEFL course before moving to Vietnam to teach English language students. Jennifer started at BSKL in 2018 were she worked as an assistant teacher in year 5 for a year, before moving to the inclusion department as an EAL support teacher in KS2. She is passionate to learn about, and continue to develop, the quality of teaching and learning both in and outside of the classroom and she completed her PGCE online with Cumbria University in 2020.
Outside of school, Jennifer loves to travel and discover different cultures. She enjoys participating in various sports and is excited to be involved in both the climbing club and dive enrichment at school.
Student happiness is about providing a fun but safe environment for learning. One which is nurturing but pushes students to see their potential and to follow their passions. It is about having a sense of belonging where students feel welcome and able to be themselves.
