I have developed many hobbies in my life. For example, I like reading, listening music, cooking and Zumba dancing. For me, Zumba is the perfect mood boosting workout to get rid of stress. I dance with the students even I was 6 months of pregnancy! I always believe that balance lifestyle is essential for everyone. Making an effort to spend time together in shared activities like cooking and baking is beneficial to everyone involved. Once a month, I will make a cake together with my family, I think time spent together in the kitchen can be the best time to strengthen bonds. There is a popular Czech proverb that says, " You live a new life for every new language. You live only once." As a Malaysian Chinese, we can speak at least 3 languages. One of the most rewarding aspects of the human experience is our ability to connect with others. Being able to communicate with someone in his or her language is an incredible gift.
"It takes a village to raise a child" is an African proverb. According to Wikipedia, it means that an entire community of people must interact with children for those children to experience and grow in a safe and healthy environment. I believe a school should include happiness as a school value and identify if students are happy in school. Happy teachers lead to happy students. BSKL is the kind of school that makes these ideals a focus, alongside our very strong academic programmes. As a teacher, I’m grateful that I am a part of the role to inspire, motivate, encourage and educate young learners in BSKL.
