Director of Music
Ms Kim Kelly started her career in the UK as a specialist instrumental tutor where she constantly improved standards and created extensive challenges for her students. She then took on Director of Music roles in several prestigious schools in the Middle East and South East Asia where she specialised in developing instrumental programmes in addition to teaching in both primary and secondary students.

Head of Primary Music
Ms Charlotte Leng began her teaching career working as an instrumental teacher and as a music and movement specialist in Early Years settings across West London. She was also involved in several community outreach projects for the Lyric Hammersmith, as well as a volunteer assignment to a charity school in Calcutta, India. These experiences inspired her to become a teacher. She worked for a large music school and another international school in Kuala Lumpur before joining BSKL.
Key Stage 2 Music Specialist
Ms Wendy Ritchie was born and brought up in the Highlands of Scotland, an area with a strong vein of musical tradition. Since arriving in BSKL she has made the most of the warmer climate and against all the odds has become an Open Water Diver!
PIPs & SIPs Violin Teacher
Instrumental Music Coordinator / PIPs & SIPs Cello Teacher
Mr Yap Jian Ching Has been teaching the Cello in BSKL since 2011. He dedicate most of his time for a non-profit community orchestra, the Selangor and Kuala Lumpur Orchestra and Choir (SKOC). He holds the position of Cello Principal in the orchestra and does music arranging there. He has led the orchestra in to many music festivals and charity concerts.
PIPs & SIPs Viola Teacher
Ms Jacqueline Yim hails from Ipoh and has been teaching the viola in BSKL since 2014. Besides teaching, she dedicates her weekends towards the community orchestra, Selangor & KL Orchestra & Choir.
PIPs & SIPs Teacher
Ms Judy Lee is from Kuala Lumpur and has been teaching in different international schooils in KL before joining BSKL. She played in Jazz festivals and joined local jazz and popular band group. She likes hiking, scuba diving and baking.
Clarinet Specialist
Ms Kahwoon Lee graduated from Malaysian Institute of Arts, majoring in clarinet performance. She is a current member of the Philharmonic Winds of Malaysia(PWM). Besides a member of the PWM, she has performed with other music ensembles such as the KLPAC Symphonic Band, KLPAC Orchestra, and many others.
