    Mrs Jayne Tant

    Jayne studied Environmental Science at University and gained her Post Graduate qualification in Education at the Institute of Education, University College London. Jayne has taught across all age groups in both Key Stages in her 17 years as a qualified teacher. As well as teaching in the UK for 10 years, Jayne worked at the British School of Tripoli, Libya for 3 years as a Year 3 teacher and Literacy Subject Leader. Most recently Jayne has been working as a Year 2 teacher and Year Group Leader at Panaga Shell Petroleum School in Brunei. She has joined BSKL as Class Teacher for Year 3 and is accompanied by her husband Jon and her Daughter Ruby who is starting in Year 7. She has a passion for environmental issues and outdoor activities and loves living in Asia. In her spare time Jayne can be found trekking in jungles, diving or sampling delicious Asian food.

    Ms Victoria Massey

    After completing her degree in Education and Sociology at The University of Central Lancashire Vicky went on to complete her PGCE in London. She studied at the Institute of Education gaining experience in both Key Stage 1 and 2. Since then she has been teaching for seven years in London. Vicky has taught across Years 3-6. She has been English Leader for the last four years and has implemented new initiatives to improve the teaching and learning of English and Phonics. Vicky also has a passion for using high quality literature in the classroom. It is this enthusiasm that ensures the pupils in her class develop a real love of learning. For the last two years Vicky has also been Phase Leader for both Year 3 and 4. Vicky loves yoga, travelling, reading and music. She is very excited about teaching at BSKL and exploring Malaysia.

    Nicola spent 2 years teaching in the UK before moving to an international school in Jordan. It is her second year working at BSKL and she is very excited for the year ahead. When Nicola is not teaching, she enjoys travelling to new places, learning about different cultures and taking part in outdoor activities.

    Mr Jack Chapman

    Jack spent 4 years teaching in London before deciding to move to more tropical climes here in Malaysia. He has experience in being a curriculum lead in Religious Education and Shared Values. As a passionate advocate of children’s rights, he worked hard on introducing the UN’s Rights Respecting award at his previous school in the UK.

    Outside of school, Jack enjoys reading, cooking and travelling. He also has a keen interest in holistic living and natural remedies. He is looking forward to exploring the rich culture and delicious food of South East-Asia.
