    Mrs Jayne Tant

    Jayne studied Environmental Science at University and gained her Post Graduate qualification in Education at the Institute of Education, University College London. Jayne has taught across all age groups in both Key Stages in her 17 years as a qualified teacher. As well as teaching in the UK for 10 years, Jayne worked at the British School of Tripoli, Libya for 3 years as a Year 3 teacher and Literacy Subject Leader. Most recently Jayne has been working as a Year 2 teacher and Year Group Leader at Panaga Shell Petroleum School in Brunei. She has joined BSKL as Class Teacher for Year 3 and is accompanied by her husband Jon and her Daughter Ruby who is starting in Year 7. She has a passion for environmental issues and outdoor activities and loves living in Asia. In her spare time Jayne can be found trekking in jungles, diving or sampling delicious Asian food.

    Ms Stephanie Millward

    Stephanie completed a Postgraduate degree in Primary education before beginning her four years of teaching across Merseyside, England. She has worked across Key Stage 1, spending two years in both Year 1 and Year 2. She is passionate about travelling and has spent the last year travelling around Asia, exploring new countries and cultures. BSKL is Stephanie’s first international post and she is looking forward to the new experiences and opportunities ahead.

    Ms Alex Nicholson

    Alex started her career in education at BSKL four years ago as a Year 5 teaching assistant. As her love for teaching grew she decided to return to England and train to be a teacher. She completed an intense Schools Direct program for trainee teachers with additional experience. She has currently been teaching in KS1 for two years and looks forward to returning to BSKL to join the Year 1 team this year.

    In her spare time Alex enjoys travelling and experiencing different cultures. She has a keen interest in art and likes to visit galleries. She also likes to listen to live music and loves animals.

    Mr Alex Marlor

    Mr Alex Marlor

    BA Hons Sociology (University of Liverpool); PGCE in Primary Education with QTS (University of Cumbria).

    Alex studied Sociology at Liverpool University and following his degree, gained a place on the Schools direct programme with the University of Cumbria, through which he achieved his PGCE in Primary Education with QTS.

    In the four years that followed, he taught in a medium sized Primary school in Manchester, having responsibilities as Year 3 teacher. He also worked as curriculum coordinator for Computing and P.E. He has worked in teaching resource groups for the local authority for Bury for Maths and Computing sharing best practice.

    When not teaching, Alex enjoys travelling to different countries. He is a keen explorer who likes hiking and the outdoors as well as cooking and going to the gym. This is his first international teaching position and he is excited to experience the different culture Malaysia has to offer.
