I have been teaching for 17 years with experience across the whole primary age range, with the majority being in Key Stage Two. Originally from the United Kingdom, I trained at the prestigious Goldsmiths College, University of London before teaching in several Hampshire and Surrey primary schools. During my time in education, I have held the position of maths, English and humanities subject leader and been a mentor to Newly Qualified Teachers. Furthermore, I have been a Key Stage 2 Phase Lead for five years. This will be my fourth year educating at BSKL.
In addition to my teaching qualifications, I have a Youth Counselling diploma and a BSC (Hons) Geographical Science degree from the University of Portsmouth.
In my spare time, I enjoy being an amateur photographer, getting creative with my sewing machine and relaxing with some Tai Chi. I also loves to support my two athletic sons in their many sporting endeavours.
I believe student happiness is about sharing a curriculum that is engaging, challenging and above all motivates them to learn more. At BSKL, resilience is encouraged so that children are able to handle setbacks with ease, learn from their mistakes and have the confidence to try again. Students understand that failure is a part of life and take more chances as a result, which in turn makes them happier and even more successful in later life.
