Emma is passionate about Creative Arts education and the positive impact Art can have on our wellbeing. Whilst studying for her degree she worked with the Arts coordinator of a large hospital to enhance the space and improve patient and staff experiences. She continued in this area of work and began to run art workshops with different groups of people including children in the hospital school. It was through this enjoyable and rewarding experience that she decided to train as an Art teacher.
During her degree Emma specialised in glass blowing and used the qualities of the materials to explore the concept of human perception. She also became a published author after writing a book exploring perception through Art, Science and Philosophy. The conceptual basis of Art is something she emphasizes with her students, helping them to make meaning through their work.
Emma enjoys yoga, travel and exploring new places with her husband and son.
