Charlie has been a teacher for 20 years mainly in the UK but also with a three year spell in the British International School in Shanghai. He has held a number of leadership roles including Head of History, Head of Humanities, Head of Middle School and Deputy Head of a Sixth Form Centre. Charlie has also held a number of other roles within schools, mostly recently as a Talent Champion and as Research Lead.
Charlie has 14 years experience of teaching A-Level and IBDP. He has been an examiner for GCSE, IB and A-Level in both History and Politics, he continues to examine History.
Charlie is passionate about education and has developed close links with a school in Tanzania which he has worked alongside and supported for the last decade, providing teacher training and leadership consultancy.
In his spare time Charlie enjoys the outdoor life. He is a keen footballer which he plays competitively. He also enjoys running, cricket and canoeing. When driven indoors he can be found playing chess and quizzing. He also wants to take advantage of living in Kuala Lumpur to develop his limited Chinese language skills.
