    Mrs Deborah Wafer

    Deborah has been teaching for over 20 years, working in a variety of subject leadership roles in several schools throughout the UK before specialising in SEND(since 2004). She has acted as a Local Authority Advisor for Wiltshire for 6 years and has worked as part of Service Children's Education within both primary and secondary sectors in Germany for 5 years as a SENCO/Inclusion Lead. Most recently she has been an Assistant Head Teacher (Inclusion/Safeguarding) in Bedfordshire. With extensive experience across age ranges and adopting an inclusive ethos, advocating reasonable adjustments and supporting students, staff and parents Deborah is well placed to continue to develop the Learning Support Team at BSKL.

    Ms Nicola Fletcher

    Nicola has a BA (Hons) in Media and Cultural Studies from Liverpool John Moores University and also a CELTA qualification (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).

    She has worked in education for the last ten years in a variety of roles, from student support, advice work and student engagement  in the UK, to teaching English as an Additional Language in Taiwan and now Malaysia.

    Nicola has worked at BSKL since 2016 and enjoys her role within the English Department, supporting students with their additional English needs. 

    She has been involved in The BSKL Award since 2017 and thoroughly loves this Key Stage 3 award, the fantastic students who join and the variety of events and challenges it involves. 2018 will be the first time all three KS3 year groups will take part, very exciting!

    In her spare time Nicola loves travel, cooking, sport and photography.

    After graduating from Demontford university Jason spent 20 years in the Hospitality industry. His last position was working with adults with learning difficulties, enabling them to work in a catering establishment and giving them life skills and confidence. After starting at BSKL in January 2014, he quickly became an enthusiastic member of the Badminton Coaching Team, using his experience as a Junior and Senior Regional player in the UK.
