Mrs Deborah Wafer


Inclusion and Assistant Teacher Leader

MEd (Bristol University & Open University), NASENCO (Wolverhampton University), NPQSL, BScQTS (Hons) (Bath Spa University)

Deborah has been teaching for over 23 years. She has worked in a variety of subject leadership roles in several schools throughout the UK before specialising in Inclusion and Special Educational Needs 15 years ago. She has acted as a Local Authority Advisor for Wiltshire and has worked as part of Service Children's Education within both Primary and Secondary sectors in Germany for 5 years as a SENCO/Inclusion Lead. Most recently she has been an Assistant Head Teacher(Inclusion/Safeguarding) in Bedfordshire. With extensive experience across age ranges and adopting an inclusive ethos, advocating reasonable adjustments and supporting students, staff and parents Deborah is well placed to continue to develop the Inclusion Team within BSKL. She also supports the recruitment, induction and training of support staff.

For leisure Deborah loves to spend time with her family and travel. She is actively involved in local charity work and enjoys the fellowship that this brings.
