Head of Modern Foreign Languages for Secondary
Dean studied at Durham University where he studied Modern Foreign Languages. In his fourth year, he specialised in both French and Spanish, although spent a significant number of years studying German. He has spent a number of years in Paris working as an English Language Assistant. On his return to the UK, Dean completed his secondary PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages and he has taught for the last 8 years in two state British schools teaching both French and Spanish from KS3-KS5. Dean has twice been second in department and (Head of French and Spanish) but last year worked as Head of MFL. Dean has a real passion for travelling, food and language learning and teaching and he is looking forward to working with colleagues at BSKL to take the department and the school even further forward.

French Teacher
During her 18 years of teaching, Blandine has worked in a variety of schools and environments, both in France and South-East Asia. Over the last ten years, she has mainly worked in Singapore and Malaysia and has developed a strong knowledge of the local environment. Having worked with students from various nationalities, Blandine understands the challenges and benefits of teaching languages in an international environment.
Bahasa Teacher
Izzat ia a member of the Bahasa Department. He believes creativity is the key to outstanding teaching. Hence, the modern day teacher needs to embrace creativity in cultivating young minds. He loves to create and design various classroom activities and differentiated teaching materials as it can boost the student's interest in learning.
Norazila is a member of the Bahasa department and enjoys teaching all year groups in BSKL.
In her spare time she likes being immersed in a novel and story book writing. She also loves to travel.
Nurhusna is a strong believer in active learning and likes to explore different teaching strategies with her pupils. Nurhusna relaxes in her spare time by listening to music and reading.

Eva got her qualification as a Mandarin teacher in 2004 and finished her Master degree in 2013. She has years of teaching Mandarin in a variety of school including Public schools in mainland China and international schools, Eva has taught a wide range of students from KS1 through to KS5. When not at work, Eva has a real passion of experience different cultures and making craft by hand.
