Ms Rebecca Gatland

Secondary Teacher Librarian

Ms Rebecca Gatland has years of experience teaching English as a second language, previously coordinating the EAL provision in Secondary. Rebecca got her Master of Arts in International Education and Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. In her spare time Rebecca enjoys reading the latest YA literature, sewing and baking.

Previous to working at BSKL, I taught English as a foreign/second language to teenagers and adults in Spain, Southern England and Senegal.

In my spare time I enjoy reading the latest YA literature, trying anything crafty and baking. I am passionate about cultivating a strong reading culture from a young age, providing students with a range of reading choices.

I believe that our library offers students a safe place to come as they are and read whatever they choose, and I love the opportunity to support students in this way.
