Barnaby Everett has been teaching internationally for 6 years at Sri KDU International School, where he was Head of Music for the final two years. He graduated from Birmingham Conservatoire with a degree in Jazz and before moving to Malaysia taught in both the UK and Kenya, as well as many additional years spent as a professional musician and brass instrumental teacher.
Barnaby has held a number of positions of responsibility during his teaching career including Head of House and Theory of Knowledge Coordinator. He also has a passion for using technology to improve learning and has worked with focus groups to help develop this in the classroom. In his Music teaching, he enjoys working with ensembles such as orchestras and choirs and has acted as Musical Director for a number of musical productions.
In his spare time, Barnaby loves to travel in Asia and Europe, taking the chance to try new food from each country. He enjoys the outdoors and hiking, managing to complete the Everest Base Camp trek on a recent trip to Nepal.
