Mrs Kate Abery

Kate Abery

University and Careers Counsellor

Kate joined BSKL in 2015 after a 16-year career in a variety of state and independent schools in the UK. She has held many roles of responsibility including Head of House, Head of Drama and, latterly, she spent six years as Deputy Director of Sixth Form in a large comprehensive school near Reading. Kate has extensive experience of teaching Drama at KS3, 4 and 5 as well as supporting students with University applications and preparing sixth formers for employment. Additionally, she introduced and was Centre Coordinator for the EPQ (Extended Project Qualification).

Whilst performing arts are her principal passions, Kate also enjoys travelling, scuba diving and yoga.
