Ms Emily Cant has 10 years of teaching experience in schools in the UK and Kuala Lumpur, and holds a Masters Degree in Education, a BSc in Biology and a PGCE in Science. For most of her time in the UK she worked at a nationally recognised grammar school, assisting many students into top performing universities including Oxbridge to study a range of courses including veterinary science, medicine and natural sciences. As well as teaching A Level Biology and GCSE Science, Emily has held Middle Leadership roles such as Head of Year and Head of Science.
I am originally from the Midlands in England, but I have always enjoyed travelling and having new experiences in every aspect of my life. This has taken me to many parts of the UK and now to Malaysia. Since arriving almost 3 years ago I have been lucky enough to have travelled around South East Asia and experience the beauty it has to offer. My other hobbies include sampling the wonderful local cuisine.
I am passionate about teaching, and believe students can thrive when they feel completely at ease and happy within the classroom. I facilitate this with my students by modelling and encouraging the BSKL core values, as well as providing individualised academic and pastoral support that goes above and beyond.
