Mr Aidan Edmanson

Deputy Head of Secondary (Teaching and Learning)

BA English Language and English Literature (University of Essex); PGCE English- Secondary (The University of Nottingham).

Aidan has been in education for over ten years. He began his career as an English teacher in Lincolnshire before moving to teach in Colchester, Essex, where he soon took on the role of Head of Department.

In 2012 Aidan, and his wife Amanda, moved to Guangzhou in southern China to work at The British School of Guangzhou, also part of the Nord Anglia Education family. During his time in Guangzhou Aidan held the senior leadership positions of Assistant Head and Deputy Head. His roles allowed him to oversee a variety of areas including teaching and learning; assessment; student leadership and enrichment; staff training and development, and the oversight of numerous whole school priority areas.

Aidan is a passionate teacher and leader who very much believes in the importance of challenge, support and diverse opportunities in the development of both students and staff.

Finally, Aidan loves travelling, especially exploring Asia and the sensational sights, sounds and food that it has to offer. He loves cooking, running and going on long walks with Amanda and their dog, Dexie.
