I studied Sport Science at Bangor University, Wales before joining the British Police force as a Police Constable. In 2009 I made the switch to education and completed my PGCE in Physical Education also at Bangor University. In 2015, I made the move into international teaching to work at our sister school, the British International School of Houston, USA. Here I spent five years as a Physical Education teacher and as a pastoral leader within the high school. My love of sport has led me to contribute to a large number of extra-curricular clubs and teams, coaching teams to both district and state recognition in the USA.
My biggest passion in life is travel. I'm extremely fortunate to belong to a small club of individuals who have travelled to 100+ countries. These experiences have helped to grow and shape the person I am today, as well as gain a greater insight into the world in which we live. I'm a passionate follower of both Liverpool Football Club and Welsh rugby and can be found watching the games regardless if its day or night. Both my wife and I are excited about the fantastic opportunities available to us living in Malaysia and being part of the wonderful BSKL community.
Student happiness is about enabling students to experience the feelings of joy, contentment and positive well-being. Enabling students to identify and pursue their own passions and dreams. Allowing them opportunities to explore and push boundaries; knowing that failure is nothing more than a learning experience. BSKL is a school that presents these opportunities both in their classrooms and also through their various clubs and sports teams.
