Mr Simon Clarke


Deputy Head of Primary (Pastoral & Safeguarding )

BA Hons Primary Education with QTS (Brighton University); FA Qualified Level 1 and 2 Football Coach; GNVQ Hospitality and Catering

Simon Clarke spent five years teaching in the UK, where he held positions as Head of Year 6 and Assistant Head, and more recently he has been part of the teaching team at BSKL. Having experience of teaching across all ranges in Primary, and with his managerial experience, Simon has become an integral member of the BSKL Primary Management Team, leading teaching and learning throughout the Primary school.

With this considerable experience and a passion for teaching, Simon has an appreciation and understanding of the unique challenges that face international school students and is able to enhance children's self esteem to ensure they reach their full potential.

Simon is an advocate of parental involvement in the school community and has led various workshops for parents and colleagues to help the understanding of ‘Teaching and Learning’ strategies and what can be done to support this at home. In his spare time, Simon enjoys golf and all forms of competitive sport.
