Before the fall holidays, an all-school color run was held to support, raise funds, and increase awareness upon the international humanitarian medical non-governmental organization by the name of Doctors without Borders (Artsen Zonder Grenzen).

All students were able to participate in the competition aspect, with middle and high school students along with the staff and parents running a 5 kilometer course, while elementary students ran a course of 2 kilometers. The remainder of our community that didn't participate in the race walked the course as well to show their support.

Runners paid a one off fee to participate in the race, and in return received a t-shirt from the organization, white sunglasses, and a color powder packet. Alongside that everyone received sponsorship forms prior to the race in order to raise additional money for participating. There was also an online donation page, where donations were accepted . From this, student event organisers, Julia and Marina, were able to raise around 3,000 euros to donate directly to Doctors without Borders in order to support their work.

Thank you to all NAISR students, staff, and parents for raising money for the charity of Doctors without Borders. The mission of this charity is to provide necessary unbiased medical assistance to victims of war, disease, natural disasters and more. We are beyond happy and so proud of this accomplishment and it wouldn't have been possible without the involvement of the entire NAISR community.
