What Our Parents Say

Many of our families choose for our school thanks to a recommendation from a friend, neighbour or colleague. If you would like to find out what makes NAISR special, we encourage you to visit our school and see it for yourself.

In November 2018, we asked our parents to complete the annual Nord Anglia Education Parent Satisfaction survey and we are proud to share these results with you here.

Here are just a few comments from parents at NAISR.

"Our family had an opportunity to move to Rotterdam from Chicago in mid 2016. Ever since we first visited the school in June, the staff has been extremely welcoming and have built a tremendous sense of community and have welcomed us like family. As parents, we enjoy spending time with our two girls as they participate in many school functions including monthly assemblies and the many holiday programs that go on throughout the year. Our two girls are able to walk to school and are sincerely enjoying themselves getting to know other international students through sports programs and other after school functions. Our family truly enjoys what this school is uniquely providing, an intercultural family-environment, dedicated to academic excellence. We couldn't be happier."

Ed, parent of students in Grades 1 and 3

After touring NAISR we chose the school because we liked how the classes had a small student to teacher ratio, how the children are individually challenged and the school had a very friendly and welcoming feel. Kitara, parent of students in Grades 3 and 6

"We moved in to Rotterdam from France, a little over 3 years ago. We were given conflicting advice as to where we should settle; Rotterdam or The Hague. We visited lots of schools, international or French; some of them really big in The Hague. Our kids could not speak any English at the time and we thought that the smaller size of this school would make the adaptation easier, so we chose Rotterdam; which also has great commuting benefits. And we are so glad that we did.

NAISR is an incredible school with a unique sense of belonging from all members of the community. Our kids love it no end, they are now completely bilingual, but they were also able to continue to study French as their mother tongue; which is a great plus.

The school is set in a really nice neighbourhood of Rotterdam, which adds to the overall positive experience."

Vianney, parent of students in Grades 4, 6 and 10

As the classes are not too big our son gets very good attention which has greatly increased his personal and academic skills during his years at NAISR. Also the athletic after school activities are great for our son and gives him the possibility to try new and different sports with his friends. Hólmfríður, parent of Grade 6 student

"My daughter has been at the school from her KG to 3rd grade. I must say, the school was the second home for her. She loved to go to school and she loved the teachers, premises, the atmosphere and her school/classmates.

The teachers are extremely friendly, patient and helpful to the students and parents and have been briefing us with every detail of the progress of my daughter. I would recommend this school for any student/parent seeking IB curriculum. I wish the management, teachers and the students all the very best."

Subhash, parent of Grade 3 student

Our youngest child struggled in her previous grade. The principal listened and understood our concerns. We left the meeting feeling as though the principal really made our child's educational success a priority. Alison, parent of students in Grades 3, 6 and 8

"We lived 2 years in Rotterdam and our 2 sons attended to this school. I can only say great things about the school and about the friends we made there. It is very important to mention that the 4 teachers with whom we worked were excellent and helped our kids in some difficult moments, but it was also a great plus for us the social life we created around the school.

The size of the school, the activities they plan, the welcoming cafeteria and the personal engagement of the director make the life of the expats much easier and allow them to make friends very fast. Overall great experience that I would definitely recommend to anyone moving to Rotterdam."

Jordi, parent of students in Pre-K2 and Grade 2

Our older children attended the school when we lived here 10 years ago. When we moved back to Rotterdam it was never a question in our minds when deciding on a school for our youngest child. Hólmfríður, parent of Grade 6 student

“Finding a new school for your loved one is nerve-racking and overwhelming to say the least but I was put to ease right away. This school was definitely a place I wanted my daughter to go to but I had a million questions. Ms. Aurora would patiently answer them all for me. She not only helped me navigate through the school but also helped me with the ins and outs of the culture which was a great help for our entire family.”

Hannan, parent of Pre-K1 student (and twins in the on-site child care)

We have been part of this school for last 9 years and never thought of leaving. For both our kids this is their second home!! Great atmosphere ... awesome teachers... differentiated learning. Unique in its own way!! Richa, parent of students in Grades 6 and 10

“The day we came to visit school, there was a Student Council bake sale going on.  We were really impressed by the maturity of the students working the bake sale and the ownership they had with it.  We were able to get a first hand view of how all the kids from all grades interacted with each other with respect, like a family.”

Alison, parent of students in Grades 3, 6 and 8
