The theme of the current series is ‘creativity’ and each podcast features two Nord Anglia Education student hosts, and a special guest from a variety of backgrounds and industries; varying from writers to sports personalities.  What is notable is that, although each guest differs from the next, they all offer great viewpoints on the world, careers and success which is appealing to young people and adults alike.  The podcast showcases the wonderfully diverse and rich opportunities that are available to all Nord Anglia students across the globe, as well as the dynamic approach that Nord Anglia takes to ensure that NAE students are inspired by their education.

These first podcasts are a fantastic introducton to a great series.  Each podcast showcases something that we at Nord Anglia really value: The importance of balance within our curriculum which ensures that focus is given to developing knowledge and skills from a strong curriculum Craig Halsall, Principal at NAISNY

Interview 1 – Daniel Gilbert

The first interviewee is Daniel Gilbert, an Oxford graduate and former Google employee who founded an award-winning digital marketing agency.  He offers some great advice for anyone interested in entrepreneurialism, digital marketing and the way the world of technology is changing.

Interview 2 – Deborah Ellis

Deborah Ellis, an activist and critically acclaimed author is the subject of the second podcast. She offers some fantastic insights for anyone seeking to become a writer, as well as anyone who would like to take their social conscience and use it to promote change. Deborah’s comments that children have the right to be children and that they have been failed by adult society are thought-provoking and definitely worth a listen.

Interview 3 – Lord David Puttnam

Lord David Puttnam, the Oscar-winning film producer of Chariots of Fire is the third interviewee this week.  He offers some great viewpoints on taking every opportunity and also of using perceived negatives in your life to learn and progress.  Interestingly, he also shares why he believes that Nord Anglia is helping change the world for the better and why students in Nord Anglia schools could and should become a force of change in the world.

Coming soon…

In the coming weeks, you will also hear from Andrew Jack, the Global Education Correspondent at the Financial Times; Dr Joseph Polisi, the former President of The Juilliard School; and Billy Tan, a Marvel and DC comic book illustrator. The final episode will feature Nord Anglia students interviewing Ebbe Sand, a former professional footballer whose achievements include scoring the fastest goal by a substitute in a World Cup in just 16 seconds.
