The DCA is such an important aspect of our community and is only 2 years old. The enrichment experiences they offer for our families are not only deeply appreciated by all, but also jolly good fun! We will soon be sending information about positions available in the DCA for the next academic year, and look forward to hearing from parents who can help continue the mission of the DCA Parent Association at DCIS. Details on the mission and purpose of the DCA can be found in the DCIS Parent Handbook on page 16.

Finally, it was wonderful to be able to see highlights from the Year 4 trip to the rainforest in Malaysia last week from a distance. They clearly had a marvellous time and thank you to all the individuals who made the trip possible. I understand that one of the highlights was returning to, and being thankful for, the creature comforts of Singapore. Definitely a fine lesson to learn at a young age!

With next week being a shorter week, we have combined the two weeks of information in this webpage. I am sure we will see many of you here for the various Chinese New Year celebrations and parent workshops. In the meantime, however, I wish you all a Happy Lunar New Year. Gong Xi Fa Cai!

Best regards,

Mr Christopher Short
