Updated Term 3 Calendar
As we have already mentioned, the calendar in your Parent Handbook is no longer valid so refer to the updated version of Term 3 Calendar of Events. All modifications are reflected on our website and other social media locations.
DocuSign
DCIS recently adopted a web-based service so we can process all necessary documents electronically as provided by our vendor, DocuSign. We have adopted this service to make it easier for parents to complete the CPE required Student Contract and enrolment forms with us. Click here for more information.
DCA Updates
There are two upcoming DCA events:
- Year 3 – Year 6 School Discos on 22nd June
- DCA Used Uniform Sale on 6th July
DC Bear Charity Benefit Sale
We are pleased to be selling some wonderful teddy bears for a dual charity benefit. Bears will be on sale on the front steps every morning before school from Monday 19th June. They will sell for $25 each with all proceeds going to Orbis International and Food From The Heart. (Click to read more)
UN Day Recipe Book
Many thanks to those families that contributed a recipe to our UN Day Recipe Book back in February. This book is now ready for distribution at School Reception and is available free of charge. There are limited quantities with one copy per family, first come first serve.
Facade Art Workshop
The Art Department is excited to announce that DCIS have been asked to contribute to a community project on the 20th and 21st June, the Telok Blangah CACC Façade Art Painting Workshop 2017. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the local community to create a beautiful painting which will hang on the façade of Block 1 Dover.

Dover Court Tennis Academy
Cross Court Tennis Academy and Sport4kids are pleased to announce Dover Court Tennis Academy’s new programs and structure.

Introduction of Parent Photo ID Cards
As you will be aware, we first issued parent ID cards at the start of this academic year. To further enhance security on site we will be including photos on the ID cards from August. The form (which can be obtained by clicking here) needs to be completed and sent back to school along by 30th June with a passport sized photograph of everyone in your household who requires an ID card (eg, Parents, Helpers).
DCIS Swimming Galas
We are pleased to announced that we have finalised the schedule for the 2017 DCIS Swimming Galas for Nursery to Year 11, beginning on the 19th of June and culminating on the 27th of June with the Secondary School waterpolo tournaments. The Swimming Galas are an opportunity for you to watch, encourage and cheer on your child in the pool. All pupils participate with the aim to encourage others and have fun, as well as to try their best. Click here to read more.
DCIS's School Shoe Collection campaign
Have your children outgrown their black school shoes? Instead of tossing them into the bin, Ten Feet Tall – DCIS's school shoe shop of choice – will be popping up in Cooper Hall on Wednesday 5th July (day before the last day of term) to collect pre-loved school shoes for their School Shoe Bank.
Global Campus: The week ahead (w/c Mon 19th June)
GENTLE REMINDER: LOG IN PAGE

- 30 June – deadline for UNICEF Summit presentations
CREATIVE WRITING AND VISUAL ARTS ANTHOLOGY
The Creative Writing & Visual Arts Anthology will be ready to send to Dover Court School on 30th June. Once we receive them, children who have published work inside will be given a copy. Harry Bau, who was awarded the Under 8s Artist of the Year, has now received his prize, a fantastic stop motion kit.
LES MARTINETS
A group of DCIS students have enjoyed a week of activities in Switzerland. Please be sure to check the Live Trip Blog and our social media websites for more information and photographs of the trip.
NAE – UNICEF GLOBAL GOALS SUMMIT 2017
Students attending the summit should participate in the pre-trip training area on Global Campus Online. Click on the Secondary link on the website to find a link to the area. The area includes useful information about the trip and learning activities that are integral to events taking place during the trip itself.
GLOBAL CHALLENGE
We are still working with colleagues in UNICEF to identify winning entries. In the meantime, we can share initial feedback. Colleagues have said the entries are fantastic and the videos are truly inspiring. We continue to work closely with UNICEF and will keep you updated on the judging process.
GLOBAL CAMPUS PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR
The competition theme will be announced shortly. Watch this space!
Have a great week all. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any queries you may have, and keep in contact! We love to see and hear what you have been up to with the Global Campus.
