Jonathan Fisher

Jonathan Fisher

Secondary School Pathway 3 Leader and Years 10 and 11 Support, Humanities, IT and ASDAN Specialist

Jonathan graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University.

Jonathan started working with young people in 2003 when he went to an American Summer camp at the end of his geography degree.  It was an inspiring experience and that led him to work as a teaching assistant in a school for young people with severe special and behavioural needs. This work was thoroughly inspiring and led him to train as a teacher.

He worked for several institutions around Manchester and Liverpool and has always been someone who loves to travel, having been to many countries, including spending a year living in Australia as part of his degree. He runs the Duke of Edinburgh Award at Dover Court and believes that learning outside the classroom gives the students an opportunity to challenge themselves in a different way to the regular school day.

He has a very positive outlook and lives by the motto ‘Everything begins with yes’.  He is a keen sportsman and regularly plays football and touch rugby. He also loves music, podcasts and films.
