Year 6 students experience team-sharing and cross-cultural exchange

The Year 6 children from Nord Anglia International School Hong Kong came to visit the Year 6 children at DCIS.

The children took part in a range of activities including drama, art computing and practical science in the science lab.

The children conversed with each other throughout the day and developed teamwork skills. Their mature communication with each other and their engagement was wonderful to see.

The children from DCIS brought food from their respective cultures and all of the Year 6 children took part in a picnic in the form of a cocktail party (without the cocktails)! The food was fantastic and was greatly appreciated; thank you to all parents for your contributions. The food ranged from Japanese sushi to Australian pies, from Asian dim sum to Italian pizza, Spanish omelette to Scottish Haggis and much, much more! There was also PLENTY of cakes and sweet treats from around the globe. The day culminated with the children exchanging cultural gifts.

It was a superb experience for the Year 6 children. A big thank you to all of the staff and parents who helped make this day possible. A superb experience for all the students involved.
