Before joining Dover Court, Robin taught in Primary and Secondary schools as well as The Technical and Further Education sector in Victoria, Queensland and South Australia. Positions of responsibility held during that time were Head of English (Years 7-11) and Head of Year. Robin considers herself very fortunate to have spent three wonderful years teaching English at a private school in Japan, just outside Tokyo, where she was able to learn first-hand about that beautiful country, its fascinating culture and discover how difficult the language is to learn.
Her key professional interests are achieving genuine teaching and learning partnerships with students, exploring the potential of technology in facilitating learning and attending to the importance of language in teaching and learning.
Robin has taught at Dover Court for a number of years, and believes she is privileged to work with so many talented, exceptional children and adults who inspire her on a daily basis.
Visiting Singapore on her way home from two years travelling throughout the UK, Europe, North Africa and Asia, she never imagined that one day she and her family would call it ‘home’. Her leisure time is spent quietly, close to nature, swimming, walking, reading and spoiling the family’s adorably silly Havanese, Rosie.
