Directly after her degree, Annabel worked in the theatre as an Education and Outreach Officer. It was during this time that Annabel realised she wanted to become a secondary school teacher. Annabel completed her PGCE and had been teaching for many years in the UK in both the private and state sectors. During her career, Annabel has directed numerous musicals and plays in professional theatres and taken a sixth form group to perform on the Royal Mile at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where they gained a four-star review.
Annabel believes that education should focus on developing the whole pupil and has a firm belief that what happens outside the classroom is just as important as what happens in it. Through extra-curricular collaborative and creative projects, Annabel believes that pupils can develop transferable skills in a fun and safe way.
In her spare time Annabel enjoys traveling, reading, walking and horse riding. Whilst living in Singapore Annabel is very excited about being able to resume her passion for scuba diving.
