Eimear continued to live in London after completing her PGCE and taught for 5 years before moving to Bangkok, Thailand. Here she taught in a British International school as a PE and Geography teacher. During her 7 years in Bangkok she developed her leadership roles as a Head of Year and Deputy head of House. Eimear believes that being part of a school community is a crucial part of a school life. There are many benefits for both students and staff to get involved in the wider life of a school community.
Outside of school Eimear enjoys playing team sports including Camogie, Gaelic Football and Netball. Over the years she has enjoyed participating in various races, including 10k races and half marathons.
When she has an opportunity she likes to read, and thoroughly enjoys the Harry Potter books.
Eimear personally believes that all young people should benefit from a positive experience of PE. This will encourage them to continue to take part in a wide range of physical activity in childhood and beyond.
