Kirsty Woodward

Secondary Learning Support Teacher

Kirsty gained a BaHons in Art and a Teaching degree, specialising in Special Education Needs both at the University of Derby, UK.

Her specialisms are; Autism and mental health, SEN, Specialist support for teaching and learning in schools , Psychological first aid: supporting children and young people and Art

Kirsty has been teaching since 2016. In her former role she had the pleasure of teaching a broad spectrum of students in a private school, providing specialist provision for students aged 5 to 19 years old, where all students had a diagnosis of Autism or ASD behaviours along with other co-morbid diagnoses. Kirsty has always wanted to work with young people with additional needs. Kirsty has always found going the extra mile to understand and help others satisfying.

Kirsty was born and raised in a small, rural town in the UK. Prior to her teaching career, she worked within the design and construction sector in the UK working with companies such as Starbucks, Pitcher and piano, LEON restaurant and many more. Kirsty still likes to pursue her creative side by completing art commissions in her spare time, along with baking, running and reading.
