Amy Partington

Amy Partington

Year 4 Class Teacher (4-5AP)

Amy graduated from University of Liverpool with a BA (Honours) in English Language and Literature. Following this she completed a PGCE in Primary Education at Liverpool Hope University.

Amy is joining DCIS following her work in Special Educational Needs and Disability schools in Merseyside, UK. Amy became interested in children’s education as a volunteer whilst studying at university.  Many years later it remains her professional passion and has shaped what has been an exciting, challenging and rewarding career in SEND Education. Amy has experience supporting children within mainstream and specialist settings within the UK and in an international summer camp. DCIS offers the opportunity to build upon her experiences in dynamic and culturally diverse Singapore.

In her previous school, Amy enjoyed coordinating provision for pupils with Autistic Spectrum Condition. Amy places importance upon supporting children’s communication and emotional regulation in order to best build the resilience and social skills required to succeed.

Amy enjoys spending time outdoors, walking and cycling. She also loves yoga and looks forward to joining an outdoor class in Singapore’s hot climate!
