Our focus this term is on developing the characteristics of integrity and reflection. In the MP3 assembly, Mr Rob and Mr James presented scenarios for the children to discuss in their house teams. House Captains then had to feedback a group decision of how they would react in those situations and were subsequently judged on the level of integrity shown. The children showed that they are already aware of the appropriate way to act. We will all now be looking for children to show integrity on a day-to-day basis and will be rewarding children through the award of weekly certificates and the Masters of Learning for Integrity which will be awarded on June 5th.
Swimming galas always provide a chance to celebrate achievement and to show case the excellent levels our children reach in all four strokes. This year’s galas were no exception. After watching our younger members of the primary swim on Thursday, the progress was clearly visible. Well done to all our TX swimmers! Congratulations to Mr Chau and Ms Charlie for organising another very successful event and thank you to all teaching and teaching assistants for their hard work on Thursday and Friday.
Our TX community were very busy this week making cards, baking cakes, swapping favourite books and taking part in Bollywood dance sessions. The connection for all these activities is one common cause, raising money to support the Nepal Earthquake fund. Thank you to everyone for helping out – this was a true community effort!
I am very much looking forward to the MP1 Production, Pirates Versus Mermaids, next week. All children in Year 1 and 2 will be performing in the sports hall on Friday 29th May at 8:15. All parents are very welcome to attend.
