UNICEF has invited Nord Anglia Education students to participate in the UN and UNICEF Student Summit in New York in July 2020. This opportunity is exclusive to NAE students. The selected students will become ‘NAE Ambassadors’ and will demonstrate the action our schools are taking to tackle the United Nations Global Goals for sustainable development and to ensure understanding of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, both of which are the foci of our 2020 Global Challenge.
What is the event?
The event will take place from 8th - 15th July in New York City and in this time students will participate in a global Model United Nations conference, UNICEF partner workshops, seminars, and debates. Students will work together to deliver a presentation for a specially convened meeting in support of the UN’s High Level Political Forum. They will also get the optional opportunity to see some of New York and potentially attend a Broadway show. More information on the High Level Political Forum can be found here.
