Incredible IB Results 2020 We are incredibly proud of the IB Diploma Programme results awarded to our Year 13 students this year. Once again the knowledge, skills, and aptitudes of our students have been recognised with academic results that place them among the very best globally.

We are incredibly proud of the IB Diploma Programme results awarded to our Year 13 students this year. Once again the knowledge, skills, and aptitudes of our students have been recognised with academic results that place them among the very best globally.

Amongst the many successes, we are especially pleased that 42% of British International School students achieved an incredible score of 40 or more, over three times the global average and illustrates the dedication and commitment our students have toward their studies. The average point score for the class of 2020 is 38, which when compared to the world average of 29.92 once again reflects the consistency in quality across all disciplines. Amongst highlight individual scores were two students with a score of 44, and one student who received a perfect score of 45! With student results across the IB Core hitting a BIS record best, the class of 2020 have demonstrated the breadth of critical thinking, research, and academic writing developed during their time at BIS HCMC in preparation for their undergraduate studies ahead.

Average Subject Score: 5.9

40+ Overall Score: 42%

Bilingual Diploma: 19.4%

A good education is of course about much more than results, but these moments of celebration are an important symbol of the shared endeavours of students, teachers and parents to our students’ educational journey. These truly impressive results are the culmination of not only the last two years of the IB Diploma Programme but rather mark an important milestone as our young people complete their school careers and take their first steps at the world’s best universities. This year, our students have responded to an unprecedented level of disruption. They have had to show even greater perseverance, adaptability and commitment to overcome obstacles, and have done so successfully with the support of parents, teachers, and each other. We know that our students will now go on to succeed in their current paths and look forward to hearing of their ongoing successes.
