We encourage all children to develop to their full potential but recognise that some children progress at different rates to their peers. These children may require an Individual Education Plan to be written for them to break their learning down into small achievable goals.
The Learning Support Department works to assist children with a range of learning needs and in many areas of their learning. We support skill development in: reading fluency, reading comprehension, written expression, numeracy, verbal communication, memorisation, motor control, and other independent learning skills. We are also able to provide support to students that face challenges with their emotional resilience, concentration, self-esteem, social skills or organisation. A child at BIS HCMC may access such support at any stage of their learning journey.
Each Primary Campus has a Learning Support Department to oversee the Learning Support programme. Parents will be consulted if a child is experiencing particular difficulties and an Individual Education Plan will be written for your child to specifically address their needs.
In the Secondary Campus, our Learning Support Department is able to offer support for a limited number of students with mild learning difficulties. However, the school is unable to accept children with significant learning difficulties.
