It is essential that students have the opportunity to explore their potential and recognise their individual skills to fully understand what they want to do next. The team aims to help students make their subject, university and possible career choices, by providing a wealth of support and information. This is done in a number of ways:
1. One-to-one Guidance
Students will receive one-to-one guidance to help them decide which course and university fits their profile. Parents can make appointments as well to discuss any related issues such as university choices and related processes, IB choices and implications of subject change.
2. University Application Support
We will work together with each student and help them navigate their way through the different university application systems, guidance on their personal statement or college essays, mock interviews and research techniques.
3. Additional Support
Each year, many university representatives from the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, and the Netherlands University Visits Programme 2018. We also offer SAT prep classes and practice testing for entry to USA universities.
In Year 12 we hold University Information Evenings and one-to-one meetings which kick-start the university research process. Through our ILS programme, students are provided with opportunities to explore a variety of academic and career pathways and undertake a series of research exercises to help clarify their interests, strengths and areas for development.
We have a large amount of information and resources available on our dedicated College and University Guidance website to help students plan their next steps.
