Staff Profile: Gemma Danielle Hobbs

Year 4 Teacher / Health & Safety Primary

I was drawn to teaching as I enjoy being creative and it's a profession in which we encounter so many opportunities for thinking imaginatively, on a daily basis. At BIS, we are encouraged to explore the latest approaches in teaching and to be bold and innovative.

BA English Literature, London University, MA Anglo-Saxon Literature, Nottingham University, PGCE, Brunel University

Gemma has been teaching for eight years, in a range of school settings, prior to joining BIS in August 2013. She particularly enjoys exploring creative teaching methods and working on new curriculum projects. Before she came to BIS, Gemma worked on a new Logic and Reasoning curriculum in addition to co-ordinating Literacy. Her interests include socialising with friends, running, learning new languages and writing. Gemma is enjoying life in HCMC and can’t wait to visit the surrounding areas and sample more of the cuisine!
