Staff Profile: Julia Newman

Julia Newman - Year 3 Teacher | BIS HCMC

Year 3 Teacher

BA (Joint Hons) English and Philosophy, University of Birmingham, UK

PGCE Primary qualification, St Mary’s University, UK

Julia joined BIS in August 2019 from London, England. She qualified in 2015 and has worked in an inner London school across Key Stage Two. Throughout her years of teaching, she has also taken part in and run singing clubs and choirs and coordinated the PSHE syllabus. 

Her interests include listening to music of all kinds, singing and going to concerts. Julia loves exploring new places, socialising and travelling with friends. She feels strongly about community and giving back; therefore, has volunteered as a befriender to an elderly lady in London for over a year, visiting her weekly. Julia particularly loves teaching English, Art, Science and History.
