Colin Astbury - Teacher of Computing | BIS HCMC

Teacher of Computing

BA (Hons) - Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridgeshire

QTS. Graduate Teacher Programme, Cambridgeshire

Colin joined BIS in 2019 with 15 years experience as a Head of Computer Science Department in a number of schools in Cambridgeshire, England. Over the years he has taught to several qualifications and brings a wealth of experience to our Computing Science Department. Colin embraces STEAM learning experiences and enriches his lessons by creating strong links with other STEAM subjects. He has enjoyed great success introducing robotics and Lego Mindstorm in previous departments.

In school he is interested in making the study of Computers and Computer Science as interesting and relevant as possible, and is continually learning to become an even better teacher. Outside of school he is interested in exploring South East Asia with his family, and building memories as a family that they will all enjoy.
